Help make complex customer projects work better!

At INNIO, our Customer Project Management teams deliver complex energy solutions worldwide — from engine deliveries and containerized solutions to overhaul & repair activities and full-scope power plant projects

To further develop and shape this work, we are looking for a versatile and hands-on Project Excellence Expert (m/f/d) who helps improve how project work gets done in practice. 

This role in our PMO team combines practical support for our project organization with ownership of selected improvement topics across processes, tools and systems, reporting, training, and digital ways of working. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving real problems, building useful structures, and helping project teams work more effectively every day. 
  
We are looking for a results-oriented professional who thrives on improving processes, implementing solutions, creating structure, simplifying complexity, and providing hands-on support in a complex, cross-functional environment. This role goes beyond a traditional project management position and is not a purely strategic or coordination-focused role. It requires good project management discipline, a continuous improvement mindset, and a strong interest in digital tools and the practical implementation of change.

You will work across our Customer Project Management business function on the following topics:

• Manage cross-functional and department-internal improvement projects

• Drive digital improvements, automation, and AI-supported use case

• Support and enable project managers and PM leadership in day-to-day operational topics

• Shape and improve Project Management-related processes, interfaces, templates, standards, and project methodology

• Integrate and support PM-tools and systems such as our own solutions myProject / Project Studio and myPlant, Primavera P6, MS SharePoint, Tableau, and Oracle ERP

• Translating business needs into practical tool, process, or reporting solutions that work for our organization

Depending on your strengths and development, you will gradually take on broader ownership of selected topics including:

• • Ceating and improving reports, dashboards, and management-ready insights with clarity and structure

  • Cooperation with Project Finance and Cost Control as well as with Digital / IT teams

  • User support and improvements related to our ERP system and digital tools

  • Implement agile elements in how customer projects are executed

  • Preparing training material, onboarding content, and user guidance for our international teams

Your Profile:

• Bachelor / Master in Business, IT/Digital, Project Management, Economics, or similar

• Relevant experience in PMO, project support, project excellence, process improvement, operations support, or a similar role in a project-based environment

• Clear evidence of implementation-oriented, hands-on work

• Experience working across functions and with different stakeholder groups

• Good understanding of reporting, KPIs, dashboards, or data-driven decision support

• Strong affinity for systems, tools, and digital ways of working

• Ability to create structure through templates, documentation, standards, or training material

• Very good English skills

Helpful additional experience:

• Experience with PM tools, ERP systems, reporting platforms, collaboration tools, or workflow/automation solutions

• Exposure to data handling, analytics, or basic technical scripting

• Experience in an industrial, engineering, manufacturing, service, supply chain, or project delivery environment

• Exposure to customer project management or related interfaces such as logistics, purchasing, finance, or controlling

• German language skills
